Mixing Vehicle Counters with Other Gadgets: Honorable Mentions
    Guest

I wanted to share some of the lesser-talked-about counters in Battlefield 6 that I’ve used, often as backups or situational tools. While anti-vehicle mines and launchers grab the spotlight, these gadgets still carve out moments of fun and impact.

First up: the AV grenade, which the Engineer class can throw. It deals moderate damage to ground vehicles — nothing like a full rocket salvo, but when used cleverly (for instance throwing it onto the top of a moving vehicle) it can soften them up or finish them off if they’re already wounded. I’ve found it useful when I spot a slow-moving armour unit, throw the AV grenade onto it, hop off, pick launcher, and either finish it or force its driver to bail out.

Then we have the C-4 explosives, from the Recon class. Remotely detonated charges stacked on the same vehicle are ridiculously satisfying. In one memorable moment I snuck behind a repair tank, planted three C-4s on the rear, called my squad in for distraction, and watched the vehicle explode when the driver drove over a friction track while trying to reverse. It was one of those “gotcha” moments where you felt clever. The Recon class often gets overlooked in pure vehicle-counter talk, but when you have the patience and stealth, the reward is fantastic.

Another tool: the Laser Designator (also Recon). It doesn’t directly damage vehicles, but painting targets makes it easier for yourself or your teammates using guided launchers to lock-on and destroy. One round, I used the designator to mark a mobile anti-air vehicle hidden near a spawn point; a teammate then locked and fired a missile. That singular chain reaction shifted the air-denial layer of that map in our favour. You can learn more about it now at https://www.u4gm.com.

These gadgets aren’t always front-and-centre — they require more thought, stealth or preparation — but that’s exactly why they’re fun to me. They give you alternative ways to approach vehicle counters rather than just “rocket and kill”. It lets you switch up your playstyle: become the behind-enemy-lines operator, the trap-setter, the paint-and-execute guy.

Launchers, Vehicles and the Engineer’s Role
    Guest

Another thing I’ve been exploring in Battlefield 6 is how the Engineer class handles vehicle counters via launchers. It’s not just mines — the variety of launchers available gives a really fun dimension to ground and air vehicle warfare.

For ground vehicles like tanks and IFVs, free-fire rocket launchers are often the go-to. In one match I picked up the RPG-7V2 and had a blast. The key is aiming at vulnerable spots: the top, the rear, or the sides of the vehicle deal the most damage. If you strike a tank head-on from the front, you’ll often bounce or have far less effect because armour is strongest there. So I spent time repositioning, anticipating where the tank would be, waiting for a moment when I had a clear shot of side or rear. When it lands, the reward is high.

Then there are the lock-on launchers (for example the MAS 148) which are excellent when you’re facing vehicles that try to juke or are on the move. You lock onto the target, the missile homes in, and if the pilot or driver hasn’t taken evasive action, you score a kill. What’s even more fun: using launchers against air vehicles. Yes, free-fire launchers are harder for the sky targets because of movement and altitude, but I managed to take down a low-flying helicopter with a well-placed RPG-7V2 shot once — pure elation. Guided missile launchers like the SLM-93A or MAS 148 make it even easier if you paint the target first or get the lock-on cleanly.

What makes this so satisfying is the shift in role: you’re no longer only infantry. You’re the vehicle hunter. You’re watching the skies, the ground, you’re listening for engine cues, you’re anticipating movement. And you’re making a direct impact by denying enemy armour and air assets.

Of course, team coordination helps. If someone else spots the vehicle, you aim; if someone paints it, you fire. But even solo, you can make big plays. My British teammates in squad started relying on me when they saw a tank pushing: they’d ping the tank, I’d pick launcher, and we’d handle it together. It felt like proper teamwork.

If you enjoy the idea of being the guy who says “not today, tank!” or “air threats spotted, I’ll take care of it”, pick up the Engineer class, try various launchers, test your aim and positioning. I guarantee it turns fast-paced vehicular chaos into something you can control. You can learn more about it now at https://www.u4gm.com.

How I Learned to Lay Anti-Vehicle Mines u4gm
    Guest

I’ve been playing Battlefield 6 quite a lot lately, and one thing I want to share is how powerful the engineer class’s anti-vehicle mines are. As soon as you spawn into a match and pick the Engineer Role, one of your very first counters to enemy vehicles is right at your disposal — deploying anti-vehicle mines. These gadgets may look simple, but they deliver serious results when used smartly.

Here’s how I approach it: once I know the map layout, I pick key access routes — maybe the road leading into the objective, the flank path vehicles often take, or a chokepoint near where the enemy armour tends to move. I deploy the mine and then move away to cover or to a better vantage point. If a tank, IFV or any ground vehicle drives over it, boom — massive damage done. The beauty of the mine is it’s a “set-and-forget” tool: you don’t need to aim or chase; you simply place it, then let the vehicle come to you. That dynamic feels satisfying: you anticipate the enemy’s route, you plan in advance, and then you watch as it plays out.

In one game I laid three mines around a flank route used by enemy tanks. One of them got careless, drove straight in without spotting them, and was completely destroyed. That changed the momentum of that flank for our team. It felt tactical, it felt clever.

Of course, you have to be smart. These mines don’t work if left in totally obvious places. If you’re laying them in plain view, keen vehicle players will spot them, drive around them, or pre-clear the area. So I often hide them just off the road edge, behind cover, or in terrain dips where you’d expect someone might overlook them. I also consider the timing: if I know the enemy will push vehicles soon, I’ll try to deploy a cluster of mines to deal with that push all at once.

One thing to remember: Mines counter ground vehicles, not so much jets or high-flying craft. So as an Engineer, you’re claiming a vital role in the ground warfare meta. If your team lacks vehicle counters, laying mines becomes one of the highest-impact things you can do. You can learn more about it now at https://www.u4gm.com.
